Solvency anniversaries and gratitude donations for the months of August (belated but still welcome and encouraged), September, October, November, and December. Bob's celebrating six years of solvency this month. Please share this opportunity to celebrate with other BDA members you know. Our suggested donation to be included in the solvency celebration section is $10 per year being celebrated.

50-100 words on BDA members’ experience with the Step of the month

Step 10 (We) Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

Step 11 (We) Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

Step 12 Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to compulsive debtors, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

100-150 words on the BDA Tools in action in members’ businesses

BDA Tool 10 We detach from difficult personalities and poor paying clients and put principles before personalities.

BDA Tool 11 We bookend before and after making commitments and difficult business decisions or actions.

BDA Tool 12 We are willing to be in charge and responsible for our business. Professionals such as accountants, lawyers, and consultants who work for us are not our higher power.

100-150 words on BDA members’ visions for their businesses

150-200 words on things BDA members have done to create fun, either at work or at home

Note on content: We request that contributions include sharing in a general way. We ask that writings about our businesses be presented in general whenever possible, considering our specific industries, products, and services as outside issues and affiliations, and possible anonymity breaks. Additionally, there is no need to include the Step or BDA Tool in your submission; please simply do your best to write to the topics provided. Why waste your available words?

Note on anonymity: Anonymity of all BDA members must be preserved in this very public setting. All submissions will be credited as first name and last initial, with or without geographic location, or as anonymous.

Note on editing and submission and selection: All submissions are subject to editing by our Newsletter Coordinator. Not all submissions can be selected for publication.

Note on distribution: In the month of November an expanded 4-page newsletter version — with inside pages from Chair and Treasurer — will be printed, and small bundles will be mailed to select US Intergroups for distribution, by Newsletter Coordinator.

Thank you for your participation in the creation of these early newsletters!
